‘A Cunfrunta – Badolato
Beyond your imagination, there are still some traditions tthat evoke deep feelings and let you go back to a very remote time.
This morning we were in Badolato, the small Medieval village with a magic atmosphere.
Lots of people on the main square waiting to assist to this very important event that represents The Encounter between The Virgin Mary and The Risen Jesus Christ, annouced by the sound of a drum.
A live representation with some aspects symbolizing the happiness and peace.
A tradition that goes back to the 13th century, which still takes place every year in this charming village. Many are the spectators and the emotions. It’s something you have to assist to once in your lifetime, whether you are Catholic or not.
